Top things to do in Iceland

Jökulsárlón

Hop on a day tour from Reykjavik and visit the famous Jökulsárlón glaciar lagoon. It is a long day so be prepared to be away for 12 hours. It is worth it, without any doubt! https://www.re.is/day-tours/jokulsarlon-glacial-lagoon

I was lucky enough to travel to Iceland in February 2014 and enjoyed this stunning waterfall while on the Golden Circle Tour, which I highly recommend to anyone who will not hire a car once there. To be honest we didn’t hire a car because we were worried about the ice on the road, but there is nothing to worry about since the roads are very safe and clean. Just a tip for your future trip. I will definitely hire a car on my next trip to Iceland;)

WHERE TO STAY

I would recommend you stop for a night at the Vik HI hostel http://www.hostel.is/Hostels/Vik.

We picked up some passengers from this hostel while on our scheduled tour and I fell in love with the place. Imagine spending the night there and strolling around Vik beach enjoying the sunset…I’m dreaming!
