Excited kids are awaiting the arrival of the Three Wise Men here in Spain. It’s not a festivity I feel that much yet, but I’m slowly embracing it. And so on our way home from some lovely tapas after three hard days at work, I treated my hubby to a ‘roscòn de Reyes’, the traditional pastry for this event.
He is happy as a kid and even more after finding the little figure while cutting the cake. Originally this would have been a bean and would have meant that who found it would be the king of the reunion, however there are different stories and traditions depending on the country (Mexico and France follow a similar one) or time.
Happy Three Kings eve to all the kids in Spain. Hopefully you do not get coal!!!! (the sweet kind of course).
