Another job, a better salary, a step closer to success as people see it.
I don’t. It’s just a job. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do, but I can’t help being nostalgic or probably romantic about older times. I’m only 34, but this remote work life is not for me.
And all this being a Manager, having an impact. What does for you having an impact mean? For me, it means helping people and my job allows me to do that. But I do that in life too.
Everybody now is telling you on LinkedIn you have to take care of yourself and disconnect from social media when you are on holidays. Then there they are writing a 10-paragraphs long post about how nice being in the nature is.
The people I truly admire are the ones who can still connect with nature, realise success is what you do at a human level, even at work. This is the only thing that enriches one.
This new job thing is being tougher than what I thought, but I wrote this in the hope it helps somebody else who is feeling the same.
Happy weekend.
